Past District Governor Kenneth Mugisha is a Rotarian for the last 28 years, from the Rotary Club of Muyenga, and has served in various capacities in the club, including Club President. At the District, he has served as District Treasurer, District TRF Chair, District Strategic Planning Chair, District Youth Service Chair, and for many years, he has served as Chair, TRF Fundraising.
PDG Ken currently serves as the District International Service Chair D9214 and the Vice-Governor 2023/24 D9214, Chair fundraising DCA 2024 Munyonyo, Rotary Coordinator Zone 22 Region 28, and he sits on the Executive Committee of Rotary in Africa, having been appointed by the RI President to be the lead trainer at the international assembly for DGE’s and their spouses in Orlando, Florida in January 2024.
He also serves on various Boards, among them the International Board for Addiction Prevention in charge of Africa, he is Board Chairman Malaria Free Uganda at the Ministry of Health, he is Board Chairman Great Lakes Peace Centre, Board member Hospice Africa Uganda, and Chair RI/ African Corporate Governance Network 2023/26. He was also the Chair for the All Africa Zone Institute, and a past Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator 2018/21.
PDG Ken emerged as the best district governor for the year 2017/18 in Africa, and the district won the Rotary International President Citation Award for Protection of the Environment.
He is a Major Donor Level 2, and Bequest Society Member Level 4.
Rtn Kenneth has attended 24 RI conventions and over 26 district conferences, and has also been a speaker at three RI Conventions.
Kenneth is a businessman with interests in manufacturing, hygiene solutions, commercial bamboo farming, real estate and financial services.
He is married to Judith and they are blessed with a son a daughter.
A Ugandan woman, with over 30 years of experience in managing government, NGO and bilateral projects of rural development, agriculture, food and nutrition; very knowledgeable and practical with participatory (bottom-up) project planning and implementation processes and with a sound background in international agricultural development, very fluent in written and spoken English and Lugbara language (from West Nile).
A strong advocate for small-holder farmers, women, children and disadvantaged people in a community, ensures that vulnerable groups benefit from any intervention given the deeply entrenched and disadvantaged roles they play in the smallholder economy; has a passion for addressing practical and strategic gender issues by shaping those relations through agribusiness models, promoting girls’ education, empowering women to access health services and micro credit loans, to pull them out of the poverty trap and set them onto the path of improved health, increased income, improved family livelihood and welfare.
Gloria has very good networking and communication skills and integrates very easily in multiple cultural and social backgrounds, adapts very easily to people of different age groups, religious beliefs and gender; loves to work on activities that empower especially women and Youths in the rural community. She has excellent knowledge of, and networks within, relevant circles of interest in Uganda and the Northern and West Nile region, and has understanding of, and influence over the relevant political economy.
Bildard is a health professional with wide training and experience in clinical medicine, health systems, business and management. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MUK); Masters of Business Administration (MUK); is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies –CIPS (UK); management training and experience in a wide range of areas from clinical health practice; humanitarian work with Uganda Red Cross Society where Bildard worked for over 10 years rising through the ranks to the level of Deputy Secretary General; Health logistics and supply chain management where he currently serves as Executive Director/CEO Joint Medical Store, a leading health solutions supply company in Kampala Uganda.
Bildard is a member of several governing boards including Malaria Partners Uganda; National Drug Authority (NDA), Malaria Free Uganda; Tondeka Metro; Rotary Blood Bank; Malaria Partners Uganda where he serves in various capacities and has gained a lot of governance experience.
Bildard is the Head of Laity for South Ankole Diocese and serves in various capacities in the church and other charity bodies- School Boards, and Health facility management committees.
Bildard is a Rotarian and Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Muyenga Tankhill; Past Assistant Governor and has served in various capacities in the rotary movement. He is a major donor to the Rotary Foundation.
Bildard is a family man; He is Married to Pamela and together they have 4 children.
Bildard is passionate about humanitarian and charity work; enjoys working with underprivileged people to help enhance them economically; education-co-owns a number of education institutions both Primary and secondary schools.
I am a Project Management Professional with special focus in Monitoring &Evaluation, Information and Communication Technologies projects development and implementation.
I have over 26 years’ experience (Senior Management level) working with internationally/locally funded projects which has exposed me to reporting mechanisms
dealing with multiple sources of funds and Stakeholders.
I have competently worked on several development and humanitarian projects jointly funded by the World Bank, USAID, Other International Donors and Government of Uganda and this has greatly enriched my competences and capabilities in organizing and managing such projects. I was involved in the Implementation of the Government Intergraded Financial Management System (IFMS) which computerized all government payment and accounting system. I was equally involved in Monitoring and Evaluation of community development work in 34 districts of Uganda during which time, I was able to design and implement a Management Information System and M&E strategy, Spearheaded several qualitative and quantitative studies, built capacity for district and NGO staff, and enhance public-private partnerships (government and NGOs).
In addition, I have undertaken consultancies preparing organizations for setting up Computerized systems, final evaluations, and helping set up M&E systems in addition to MIS system to organizations.
Mr. Ossiya is a Ugandan citizen with over 20 years’ progressive experience working on civil document processes, Democracy, anti-corruption, governance, human rights, and law. Mr. Ossiya is well versed with working with government agencies and managing complex multi-million international development projects serving as Chief of Party (COP) for anti-corruption and institutional development projects.
This includes a USAID/MCC Threshold program in Uganda focused on preventing corruption in public procurement, increasing the effectiveness of investigations and prosecutions, and strengthening the role of civil society in the fight against corruption and the USAID/Zambia Institutional Reform Program (ZIRP) project which worked to create effective systems for public governmental administrations, and which promoted citizen monitoring and accountability mechanisms and provided for business efficiency. Mr. Ossiya has demonstrated ability to gain respect and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across public and private sectors at all levels. In Uganda, he worked with and interacted with a wide spectrum of governmental agencies including the Independent Electoral Commission, Inspectorate of Government, the Department of Ethics and Integrity, the Public Procurement Authority, and Office of the Auditor General (OAG). He also was instrumental in fostering cross-sectoral collaboration of CSOs, private sector and the government. Mr. Ossiya is highly knowledgeable in the issues of civil documentation, good governance, diagnostic assessments, program design, monitoring and evaluation, and has shown the ability to innovate and use trail blazing techniques in dealing with challenging situations. He has had over 15 years working experience with development agencies including Danida, the Royal Netherlands Embassy, DFID, NORAD and USAID and extensive experience working in public, private and civil society sectors in Uganda. Mr. Ossiya is a proficient team leader with a strong work ethic honed by working in multi-cultural environments at senior positions. He has extensive experience in the use of participatory planning methodologies, teamwork, nurturing organizational growth and communicating effectively across all levels of project implementation.
She is a Ugandan, who has been working in Soroti regional referral hospital as a senior consultant in paediatric since 2015, but having worked in public service since 1990. I retired from public service 2 months ago after having attained the mandatory age of retirement of 60 years.
She is a dedicated and highly motivated person who has been treating sick children with a passion.
I ensured that sick children admitted on the ward promptly received appropriate care and treatment. I have been supervising and training intern doctors and nurses that would rotate through the pediatric ward.
Mentored medical officers, medical officer special grade in paediatrics and consultant paediatricians that were assigned to the paediatric ward of Soroti Regional Referral Hospital.
I ensured that continuing medical education were conducted and clinical review meetings including audits were done on a regular basis. This impacted knowledge and skills directly to the staff that handled sick children including preventive measures.
I have been actively involved in conducting clinical trials in the department of paediatrics of Soroti Regional Referral Hospital as the site paediatrician in collaboration with Mbale Clinical Research Institute(MCRI) since 2017 and this assignment is continuing up to October 2022.
He is a longe-term serving rotarian. He has worked as a Member Country Stewardship Committee for Rotary Uganda, Director and Board member, Malaria Partners Uganda (2017/2019).
He has also server as Assistant Governor Uganda Eastern Zone – 2013 – 2015 In-charge of Rotary Clubs of (Tororo, Mbale, Kumi and Soroti Central).
Bernard has been Chairman of Membership committe (2015-2018), Char Rotary Foundation Committee (2018), Rotary Family Health Days (2018), and Rotary Cancer run (2018) for Rotary Club of Mbale.
He been President, Rotary club Mbale (2003-2004, 2022-2023).
Bernard also served as the Convener, the Rotary Intercity Conference, February 2003 at Mbale Resort Hotel.
Ronald Reagan Namanya, has been in Rotary (including Rotaract) for the last 15+ years. He has served as President for both Rotaract Club of Kampala Ssese Islands, and Rotary Club of Kampala Metropolitan, where he has been a charter member for both clubs! While in Rotaract, he also serves as the Assistant Rotaract Representative. He has served as Area Membership Support Officer for Kampala Area 6, in the past Rotary Year!
Reagan went to Ntare School, before joining Makerere University, where he graduated with an Honors Degree in Economics, before joining the University of Nairobi, for a Collaborative Masters program in Economics that he completed in 2011.
Reagan, has worked for a number of Oil & Gas Multinationals, including Shell Uganda, Oil Libya before joining the International Community, working on UN Projects, including World Health Organisation, Food and Agricultural Organisation, and several other International assignments across the Globe. He is also, currently serving as a Director, on the Board for the Malaria Partners, Uganda.
Currently, Reagan works in the Acting position of Principal Policy Analyst under the Office of the President, but currently deployed in the Ministry of Works and Transport. He also lectures Economics and Management at Cavendish University, under the School of Working Adults. He has interests in farming, Real Estate, Retail Trading, Insurance and Financial Markets.
He is a father of 3 (Three) beautiful Girls (Paula, Megan & Melissa) & 2 Princes: Donald Ray Humura and Trevor Ryan Namanya – he believes that, Children are Gifts from Heaven and should be suffient.
Reagan, likes watching Movies/Documentaries, traveling, music and an ardent fan of Mixed Martial Arts (UFC), and Boxing! He is an ardent fan of Vintage Collectibles, especially Cars (W114/115 – 1974/6)
Reagan, also likes giving to noble causes, and is a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) and Sustaining Member. He has served as the Amazing Assistant Governor of Kampala Area 9 with Amazing Clubs of Kampala Morning Stars; Sonde; Kampala East; Kira; and Kampala Kibuli.
Eva is a professional Administrator with vast experience in Research and Evaluation; key in leading Research, Monitoring and Evaluation efforts for different programmes spread across Youth Livelihood programmes, Gender, SRH&R, HIV&AIDS, Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC), prevention and response to Violence against Children (VAC) and Research programs.
Eva has offered Administrative, Research and M&E technical support to several development agencies and partners including: Rainforest Alliance, International Development Research Centre (IDRC), PEPFAR/Uganda (USAID) UNFPA and Democratic Governance Facility, Action Aid International, Pathfinder International and Children’s Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF), SOS Children’s village, GOAL, Uganda Red Cross, Palladium international etc across Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda.
Eva has previously worked with Consultancies, NGO and government agencies including IDEAS Consult, Uganda Bureau of statistics, National NGO Forum, Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG) and recently Mildmay Uganda under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)/CDC at Operations Research Administrative Officer
